About East Center Market

East Center Market, also known as “Eastside Market”, has been a fixture in Wallingford for many years. We are a family owned and operated grocery store committed to providing excellent customer service, along with the freshest cuts of meat, tasty deli options and beautiful produce to our valued customers.

East Center Market’s new owners, Donald and Sarah Lorusso, became second generation owners when they purchased the market from Sarah’s father, Bill Kowaleski, Sr. and his wife Vicki, in June 2021. Partners in life for nearly twenty years, this Husband and Wife duo have plunged headfirst into business partnership to carry on the “Eastside” legacy. Before taking over, Sarah worked as the ECM Store Manager for close to a decade with Donald working alongside her as the Head Butcher. Many would call the pair crazy for taking over a business mid-pandemic, but with a mentor like Bill, they’re destined for success.

The Lorusso Family strives to provide services in a friendly, helpful manner. We would not be where we are today without our wonderful customers and dedicated employees!
